Move it or Lose it!

Literally... Use your mobility or lose your mobility. Mobility is something many of us take for granted. And I don’t mean to threaten you (yet), but I do want to stress the importance of moving your body. Did you know that age related mobility decline can start as early as 20 years old? By incorporating daily movement and exercise into your routine, you are not only benefitting the you of today, but also your future self.

Why it Matters

You might be thinking “why does this matter? I feel fine right now...”, but aside from the fact that every second our youth fades further and further away, exercise actively benefits us in many ways. Let me put you onto something real quick. Getting in daily exercise and movement does wonders for your body. For example, it helps with maintaining blood pressure, it helps to keep your arteries clear of build-ups, it fights inflammation, and maintains bone health. This all sounds fantastic, right? But wait, there’s more!

Exercise also does wonders for improving other areas of your life. Some more examples include helping you get better quality and quantity of sleep, improving your romantic life, if you know what I mean... And exercise helps fight off depression, which impacts millions of people in North America. So the next time you ask yourself “why does it matter, I feel fine right now?”, you will know the benefits you are missing out on. It doesn’t matter if you’re 15 or 55, get started today because better late than never, and time waits for no one.

Make it Fun!

Exercise doesn’t need to be boring. There are so many different ways to get your fitness on. From dancing to walking, and lifting weights to yoga, there is room for everyone to move their body in a way they enjoy.
